Brahmaputra River


THE BRAHMAPUTRA RIVER:

The Brahmaputra River is one of the major rivers in Asia. It is born in the Kubigangri glacier, near to the Himalayas, it goes to China, the Tibet and India, and finally it ends in the Gulf of Bengal. Its name means Brahma’s son. Brahma is the Hindu god.
In the Tibet, it known as Tsangpo and in Bangladesh it divides in two branches, the Jamuna river and the Shitalakshya river.
